sesmograph Join the waitlist

Privacy policy

Last updated: August 16, 2026

1. What this policy covers

This policy describes how personal data is processed when you join the waitlist on sesmograph.com. It covers this form, the anonymous usage statistics described below and nothing else. The hosted sesmograph service, once it launches, will have its own privacy policy and terms.

2. Data controller

The controller of your personal data is Tomasz Sawko, ul. Skarbka z Gór 122C/13, Warsaw, Poland. Contact: [email protected]

3. What we collect and why

  • Email address - to notify you about the launch of the hosted version of sesmograph. Legal basis: your consent (art. 6(1)(a) GDPR), given by submitting the form and confirmed through double opt-in. Nothing is stored as an active subscription until you click the confirmation link.
  • IP address and basic technical data of the signup request - to protect the form against abuse and to document consent. Legal basis: our legitimate interest (art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
  • Standard server logs (IP, requested URL, time) - to keep the site secure and diagnose problems. Legal basis: legitimate interest (art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
  • Anonymous usage statistics - we use a self-hosted instance of Umami, running on our own server, to count page views, referrers, countries and browser types. Umami sets no cookies, stores no IP address and creates no identifier that could follow you across sites; the data is aggregated and cannot be linked to you. On demo.sesmograph.com Umami additionally records anonymous session replays (clicks, scrolling, page changes) so we can see how the demo is used - the demo contains only fictional sample data and no form of yours. Legal basis: legitimate interest (art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).

That is the whole list. There are no advertising pixels, no third-party trackers and no fingerprinting on this site.

4. How long we keep it

  • Confirmed subscriptions: until you unsubscribe or until the waitlist has served its purpose and is closed.
  • Signups that are never confirmed: deleted periodically.
  • Server logs: rotated automatically, kept no longer than 30 days.

Every email we send includes a one-click unsubscribe link. Unsubscribing removes you from the list.

5. Where the data lives and who can access it

  • Mailing system - the list is stored in our own self-hosted mailing software running on our own server. No third-party marketing platform receives your address.
  • Hosting - servers are provided by Hetzner Online GmbH (Germany, EU), acting as our infrastructure provider.
  • Cloudflare - the site is served through the proxy and CDN of Cloudflare, Inc., which processes technical connection data (IP address, request headers) to route and protect traffic, and the signup form uses Cloudflare Turnstile to tell humans from bots. This may involve a transfer to the United States safeguarded under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework. See Cloudflare's privacy policy.

We do not share, sell or trade the list with anyone else.

6. Your rights

Under the GDPR you can, at any time:

  • access the data we hold about you and receive a copy,
  • correct it,
  • have it deleted,
  • restrict or object to its processing,
  • receive it in a portable format,
  • withdraw your consent - the unsubscribe link in any email does exactly that, without affecting the lawfulness of processing before withdrawal.

To exercise any of these, write to [email protected]. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority - in Poland: Prezes Urzędu Ochrony Danych Osobowych, ul. Stawki 2, 00-193 Warszawa - or with the authority in your own country.

7. No profiling

We make no automated decisions about you and build no profiles. The address is used to send launch news, nothing more.

8. Cookies

This site sets only what it needs to work: an essential session cookie (form security) and the cookies Cloudflare Turnstile requires for bot detection. The usage statistics (Umami) work without cookies. There are no analytics or advertising cookies, so there is nothing to consent to and no cookie banner.

9. Changes

If this policy changes, the new version will appear at this address with an updated date. A change never widens what we do with already collected data without asking you first.
